What does our church believe?

God is the Creator of the Universe
(Genesis 1:1) “In the begining God created the heavens and the earth.”
(Isaiah 45:18) “For thus saith the LORD that created the heavens; God himself
that formed the earth and made it; he hath established it, he created it not in vain,
he formed it to be inhabited: I am the LORD; and there is none else.”
(Colossians 1:16) “For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or
principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:”
All Scripture is the Inspired Word of God
(2 Timothy 3:16)   “All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for
doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness.”
(John 1:1)  “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.”
(John 1:14) “And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us (and we beheld his
glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.”
(Matthew 24:35) “Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass

God is a Spirit
(John 4:23)   “But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall
worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship
him.”
(John 4:24)   “God is a Spirit: and they that worship Him must worship Him in
spirit and in truth.”
(Ephesians 4:4)   “There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling.”
God is Love
(1 John 4:8)   “He that loveth not knoweth not God, for God is love.”
(Matthew 22:37)   “Jesus said unto him, thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.”
(Matthew 22:38)   “This is the first and great commandment.”
(Matthew 22:39)   “And the second is like unto it.  Thou shalt love thy neighbor as
thyself.”
(Matthew 22:40)   “On these two commandments hang all the law and the
prophets.”
God is One
(Deuteronomy 6:4)  “Hear O Israel: the Lord our God is one Lord.”
(Isaiah 45:22)   “Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth, for I am God, and there is none else.”
(John 10:30) “I (Jesus) and my Father are one.”
(Galatians 3:20)   “... God is one.”

In the Virgin Birth

In Water Baptism in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ
Jesus was Baptized
(Matthew 3:16)   “And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the
water, and lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God
descending like a dove, and lighting upon him.”
Jesus Commanded His Disciples to Baptize
(Matthew 28:19)   “Go ye therefore and teach all nations, baptizing them in the
name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost.”
The Disciples Carried Out the Command of Jesus
(Acts 2:38)   “Then Peter said unto them, repent, and be baptized every one of you

the Holy Ghost.”

David was girded with a linen ephod.”
(Psalm 149:3) “Let them praise his name in the dance: let them sing praises unto

In Living a Godly Lifestyle
(Romans 12:1-2) “I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that
ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your
reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by
the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable,

(1 Timothy 4:8) “For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto
all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.”
(2 Corinthians 7:1) “Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse
ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of
God.”
(Hebrews 12:14) “Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord.”
In Giving Tithes and Offerings
(Leviticus 27:32) “And concerning the tithe of the herd, or of the flock, even of
whatsoever passeth under the rod, the tenth shall be holy unto the LORD.”
(Malachi 3:10) “Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.”
